School Advisory Council and School Advisory Forum
School Advisory Council (SAC)
The School Advisory Council (SAC) acts as advisors, mentors, and advocates to both the district. SAC monitors the SIP and shall be used to help identify student needs in order to recommend programs of action for our school.
SAC is the link between the school and the local community which will serve as a means for participatory management through which the various stakeholders in the school community may assist the school and the school may assist the community.
School Improvement Plan (SIP)
What is the SIP?
The School Improvement Plan (SIP) is a set of goals, objectives and action steps, that drives our educational activities relating to school improvement and education accountability. Parents, teachers, and administrators meet monthly at Whiddon-Rogers Education Center and share in the roles of developing these goals.
This school year our SIP addresses issues relative to budget, professional development, student support services, school safety and discipline strategies as determined by District School Board policy. The SIP is updated each year based on the administrative analysis of student achievement and other school performance data.
School Advisory Forum (SAF)
SAF is open to all members of the school and community. SAF members plan, develop, and implement parent/community programs and training activities. They also address parent/community concerns; work with administration to solve problems and initiate desired changes in the school in order to serve our students better.
